1. Introduction
Hello ZP Community,
We are glad to have you join us! This newsletter is to create a community to increase fitness and nutrition knowledge. We know we have holidays coming up, so have some fun! We have some tips to keep you in the right mindset while celebrating. This month, we're focusing on summer fitness tips, a new workout to keep you in shape, and delicious nutrition advice to fuel your body. Let’s dive in!
2. Seasonal Fitness Tips
It is getting hot out there! Stay ahead of the game with our seasonal fitness tips:
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your workouts.
Morning Workouts: Exercise early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day.
Light Clothing: Wear breathable, light-colored clothes to stay cool.
Sunscreen: Protect your skin with a high-SPF sunscreen.
Mix It Up: Try new outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, or biking.
3. Workout of the Month
Workout: Full-Body HIIT Routine (Try this at home!)
Description: This High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout will get your heart pumping and muscles burning in less than 25 minutes:
Steps:
Warm-Up: 5 minutes of light jogging or brisk walking.
Circuit 1: 3 rounds of 30 seconds work, 15 seconds rest
Jumping Jacks
Push-Ups
Squats
Circuit 2: 3 rounds of 30 seconds work, 15 seconds rest
Burpees
Plank Holds
Lunges
Cool Down: 5 minutes of stretching.
4. Nutrition Tip of the Month
Smoothies are a quick and easy way to get a nutrient-packed meal. They are cold and tasty! Great for feeling like a treat on a hot summer day. (Add a scoop of protein powder for an extra kick of protein!)
Here’s a recipe for a refreshing smoothie:
Recipe: Strawberry PB & J (344 cal per serving)
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 banana
¼ cup peanut butter
1 cup milk (of your choice)
Instructions:
This will make 2 smoothies, one for you and another for that special someone!
Add all ingredients into a blender and blend on high until smooth.
Split between two glasses.
Slice up 2 strawberries for a garnish. And drizzle just a little more peanut butter on top.
Serve and enjoy!
